It’s a little over 3 hours from Raleigh (NC’s capital city), but the drive is super easy if you don’t hit work traffic. Trust me when I say it has things for everyone of all ages to do. There are attractions like Tweetsie Railroad, museums, ziplining, hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, etc.. Despite majority of the population being college students, you still get that cute old town feel when you’re walking downtown.
