This adorable stone house was once a schoolhouse built in the 1850s. It has so many historic features, like a stone fireplace, hand-built wooden stairs, reclaimed wood hickory cabinets in the kitchen, and a vintage claw-foot tub that make you really feel like you’ve traveled back in time. The cottage is just 25 minutes from Frederick, MD, which I’ve driven through many times. It’s an adorable little town with a historic downtown and lots of great shops and restaurants and festivals.
