The Belle Air Mansion was built by Joseph Clay and Elizabeth Harding in 1832. It was sold to a banker and his wife in 1838 and they expanded the house with one-story wings. That’s when the Greek Revival ornamentation came in. Belle Air was listed on the National Register in 1971. Fast forward to 2014, the mansion was on an endangered properties list and was doomed for destruction by developers in the area. The current owners bought it in 2016 and restored it for a few years!
