Stay in one of the Few Remaining Greek Revival Antebellum Mansions in Nashville, TN

The Belle Air Mansion was built by Joseph Clay and Elizabeth Harding in 1832. It was sold to a banker and his wife in 1838 and they expanded the house with one-story wings. That’s when the Greek Revival ornamentation came in. Belle Air was listed on the National Register in 1971. Fast forward to 2014, the mansion was on an endangered properties list and was doomed for destruction by developers in the area. The current owners bought it in 2016 and restored it for a few years! It has been a wedding venue and bed and breakfast since then.

The mansion features 10 unique bedrooms, large outdoor porches, and seating areas inside. With it being just 5 miles from downtown Nashville, this is the perfect spot for those who want to experience downtown life but still go back to a quiet and private setting at the end of the day. Can you imagine what it would’ve been like living in this 200 years ago?

Book your stay at this property

You can book a room inside the mansion and what they call the “retreat house”. There are 10 bedrooms in the mansion and 5 in the retreat house to choose from.

Some reviews from past guests…

  • Awesome place to stay! It was a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable experience. The house is exquisite. The attention to detail in the furniture, decor, and every aspect makes it a very special place, and it was a joy to experience a bit of the ‘Old South’ at its best. We certainly hope to come back again and highly recommend the Belle Air Mansion!
  • We stayed here on a girls trip for my 40th bday. It was phenomenal! Rooms are wonderful and their breakfast was great! I love the historic nature and all of the original woodwork of the mansion. It has such a neat history behind the owners who once lived there long ago.

All pictures were taken from google and their photo gallery.

Amenities include WiFi, 4K TV, refrigerators, ironing boards, phone chargers, hairdryers, and coffee makers in every room.

Which room are you choosing? I think the Sapphire Room is my favorite, I love all the blue!
