I’m not sure I’ve seen anything like this.
The Nook, in Swannanoa, NC, is a handcrafted work of art. Nestled back in the woods, 8 minutes from the gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway and 15 minutes from downtown Asheville’s amazing food and art scene, this little house seems like the perfect place to slow down and recharge for a long weekend and all for just over $200 per night (plus fees).
Book your stay at this property
Before checking out the rest of this article, you might want to go ahead and reserve your stay since I’m almost positive this place is going to be booked full in the very near future.
I can’t get over the attention to detail, the soothing color palette, and the freakin’ outdoor bath! I can just envision leaving my computer at home, turning off my phone, and lounging around all day before cooking dinner, and enjoying a nice glass of wine before bed. I mean, you’re just 15 minutes from Asheville, but I’m not sure I’d make it out there with how cozy and inviting this place looks.
Looking at the reviews, it seems like what you see is really what you get. It’s pretty much getting 5 stars across the board and even has people gushing. Here are some of the highlights from the reviews…
– “This was a perfect couples getaway.”
– “This place is unbelievable! We stayed on the property our entire stay after a trip to get groceries. The bathhouse was incredible. You feel like you’re in a different part of the house from every nook, yet in a tiny home. It’s super clean!”
– “It’s as incredible as everyone says it is! “
– “Wow. Just wow. This is hands-down the most thoughtfully designed and crafted place we’ve ever stayed in “
‘The Nook’ is a 2 bed, 1 bath, and they say it only sleeps 2, so this is definitely more of a couples retreat, but they do have an infant present in one of the pictures. So this also might be an option for those first-time parents who have been stuck inside raising their new baby but need a little change of scenery and want to bring baby along for the trip.
Based on the reviews, there doesn’t seem like a bad way to experience this place, and with its proximity to downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Nook is definitely going on my ‘AirBNB wishlist.’
