Southwest Cuisine in Scottsdale, Arizona – LA HACIENDA Restaurant

Rondé and I recently went to Scottsdale, Arizona …. One of our favorite vacation spots to play golf! And because of its location, a great area to enjoy the rustic cooking of the southwest.

We went to LA HACIENDA restaurant. It’s an old-world fixture in the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess hotel with its beehive fireplaces, spanish architecture and an outdoor starlit patio.

First good sign about the menu was it had a very interesting list of margaritas. We went with Passion Fruit and the table presentation was amazing!

Rondé and I started our dining experience with the Sampler Trio of Guacamole …. Esquites (juicy roasted corn), Traditional, and Pomegranate. We were a little weary about the pomegranate guacamole because we didn’t think those two foods went together but it was surprisingly delicious.

As we looked at each dinner entree description, all seemed so appetizing …. Chargrilled Fajitas, Grilled Seabass with Adobo marinade, Beer Battered Fish Tacos with chile tartar, Calabacitas (sautéed zucchini, corn, tomatoes & peppers) Enchiladas.

The atmosphere of LA HACIENDA was happening and vibrant. It was also the perfect place to celebrate Rondé for his birthday during our trip to Scottsdale. And how fitting it was that they served him with our favorite …. Chocolate Cake!

But, we also had to try their Churros! They were phenomenal!

LA HACIENDA is a restaurant that we know we’ll never get tired of and will definitely be back on our next trip to Scottsdale, Arizona. You will feel so happy after an evening of fresh, modern Mexican cuisine and drinks at LA HACIENDA.

Reservations are highly recommended and can be made on OpenTable.
