Come visit Kennebunkport, Maine, only a 90minute drive from Boston! It’s about perfect in every way and just like you’re in a Hallmark Movie (lil’ secret …. we love Hallmark movies!) Rondé and I came to Kennebunkport to visit our close friend, Ben Bouma. He brought us to one of his favorite seafood spots, ARUNDEL WHARF Restaurant.
ARUNDEL WHARF is located on the river in the heart of Kennebunkport. It emanates a New England summer as you walk up to the restaurant. Enjoy sitting in adirondack chairs along the water while you wait for your table. You almost want the wait to be a little longer than usual because its so relaxing.
The seafood was so fresh and delicious! You can order anything and be completely happy with your choice. Rondé started with a cup of their Maine Lobster Stew and I started with their New England Clam Chowder.
We had to have a Maine Classic as part of our starters too. We ordered their traditional New England steamers of soft shell clams. We didn’t stop there though. We also got their shrimp cocktail which were humongous!
You might think we should be full after all this food already. Ha, ha!! We were NOT! We were so excited for our lunch entrees to still come. Rondé and I were definitely not sharing an entree today! He had the Salmon BLT sandwich with a citrus aioli. I went with my favorite seafood dish …. Fish and Chips made with their fresh fried haddock.
The weather was beautiful to be eating outside. The casual maritime-themed space made you want the afternoon to never end. It was an ideal spot for lunch and catching up with our buddy Ben.
ARUNDEL WHARF is a great place for an easy-going lunch, drinks at sunset or a date night dinner. A must come spot when you’re in Kennebunkport, Maine! We hope to be back again soon!
