Summer Food Truck in Tampa, Florida – THE LUCKY TIGRE

We tried an absolutely delicious food truck this summer and in our home town! It happens to also be a food truck that serves my ethnicity’s cuisine …. Filipino Food. This food truck is called The Lucky Tigre. Our oldest daughter Yammile brought us to it for lunch.

So both Rondé and I are very picky about our filipino food because we compare it to my mom’s cooking. To us, she will always make the best filipino food ever. The Lucky Tigre dishes are a very close second to my mom’s. We were impressed!

Since we are familiar with filipino food, we tried what we know are 3 staple filipino dishes …. Lechón, Beef Tapa, and Pancit.

They were all authentically tasty. The Lichón (pork) was crunchy and freshly fried. The Beef Tapa was tender and flavorful. And the Pancit (vermicelli rice noodles) were sautéed with vegetables, cooked perfectly. We definitely could take my mom here too. She would enjoy it!

This is a quick lunch or dinner spot. Even in the summer Florida heat, we were able to remain cool under the sails that cover the picnic table eating area. The food will only bring a smile to your face like it did Yammile’s.

The Lucky Tigre is open 7 days a week from 12noon – 8:30pm. It is located conveniently near the University of Tampa at 1713 N. Albany Avenue. You will not be disappointed coming to The Lucky Tigre food truck!
