1820 French Quarter Mansion | New Orleans, LA

Wait until you see the interior! I think I said ‘wow’ at least 3 times. The mansion was built in 1820 and was converted to lofts. You’ll see that the ceilings are 14ft tall, there’s a 5 ft chandelier, original hardwood floors, and the original MARBLE mantel. I mean this place really takes you back in time. And don’t get me started on that bathroom!! The green really makes this loft stand out. The host has numerous other units you can rent in the mansion and they all look different! Which I think is pretty cool and makes the whole place unique. This unit in particular can sleep up to 5 with two queen beds with Tempurpedic mattresses and a pull out twin bed. The hosts also include robes and some toiletries for your comfort! The courtyard is a public space for all of the mansions guests to enjoy.

The mansion does have other units for rent, let us know if you’ve stayed in one!

I’ve never been to New Orleans so with this Airbnb being right in the middle of all the action it’d be a great place to stay. Just minutes from Bourbon St. where you can enjoy live music, cafes, bars, and so much more! I’ve been wanting to make a trip for a while, but never know what time is right. So let me know about your experiences in New Orleans; where you stayed and when you went.

I’d imagine waking up in this Airbnb would be like a breath of fresh air. The morning light coming in through those windows would be amazing. And enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony while listening to the hustle and bustle! I’d definitely pick up some pastries and fruit to enjoy as well. Why do I want to take a shower in that bathroom so bad?? I really can’t get over the green and gold accents all over, especially the walls in the bathroom. If you scroll down you’ll see the common area, the string lights and plants really make it! Would be really nice to sit down there towards the end of the day with a drink to get ready to go out on the town.

Check out some of the reviews from the past visitors:

  • Loved the balcony and view & the traditional decor!!
  • A beautiful NOLA style home and property that is being upgraded. The owners are doing a wonderful job. The location is ideal — Cafe DuMond, French Market, Frenchmen St music, Bourbon St — are all a few minutes walk. Great food and shopping all around you, as well as unique and interesting bars.
  • French quarter mansion was everything we needed.
  • This property was in a great location with all the amenities you with all the amenities you would need to enjoy French Quarter and surrounding area.

There are some things you’ll want to note before booking your stay. There is not an elevator in the mansion so if you have problems with stairs this might not be the place for you! There’s a kitchenette with a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, etc.(no stove!). You do have to find your own parking arrangements as there is not on sight parking. One last thing, it is not dog friendly!

Let us know if you’ve stayed here before or in any of the other units in the mansion!
