Cozy Red Caboose in the Redwoods | Cupertino, CA

This one would be great for train aficionados, families with young kids who love trains, or even fans of the “Boxcar Children” books! This lovely red caboose is situated in such an ideal location among the Redwoods, close to lots of hiking and biking trails, and just 10 minutes from Cupertino and Saratoga. It definitely seems like a true “hidden gem in the middle of Silicon Valley”, as one past guest wrote.

The caboose has a queen bed in the sleeping loft, a bathroom with a clawfoot tub, a kitchen, and a small dining and living space. Outside is a patio, a parking space, and a shared firepit area. This caboose seems like it would be a great jumping-off point, providing all the basics you need for a comfortable stay in a great location close to a lot of outdoor attractions or city life near Silicon Valley.

“What a special place! My two year old daughter and I had such a wonderful time here. Pat and Doris and all the dogs are so friendly and welcoming. The caboose is a treasure. We will definitely be back!”

“Hidden gem in the middle of Silicon Valley! What a great experience living in a caboose surrounded by redwoods and a great community of warm people and friendly dogs. My 7yo old daughter (who’s reading the boxcar children series of books) absolutely loved living in a caboose and exploring other train parts around. There’s also a swing and lots of friendly dogs & cats that she loved playing with. We had a great time at the bonfire in the evening making s’mores! Pat was great throughout- helping us with suggestions on where to go eat and explore in the area, lighting bonfire for us, sharing his wonderful stories and then also took us around his property in a “Rhino” which was truly memorable. The cherry on top was this place is SO close for anyone living and working in the Silicon Valley. We’ll surely be back. Highly recommend it!”

I would love to come here and stay in this piece of history while exploring this part of California! Would you?
