Historic Mansion with 21 beds | Myerstown, PA

This house was built in the 1860s by Isaac S. Long, he had business in the gold rush in California and was the first mayor of San Francisco. From what I can gather, he built this house to serve as his summer home and then bought land around it for farming. It is said that this house was part of the underground railroad. It now sits on 2.4 acres, has 18 rooms with 8 of those being bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and get ready…21 beds. There is a fully stocked kitchen, tons of board games, and multiple fireplaces and heaters to keep warm.

This is perfect for a family gathering! There are a ton of open dates. Would be beautiful in the Spring. Let us know the best time to visit if you’re from this area.

This Airbnb is close to a couple of small towns that have shops and restaurants. Although I don’t think i’d want to leave this house. With there being a full kitchen i’d want to cook all of my meals here. And with all the cute nooks around the house, it’d be so easy to find privacy.

  • The Mansion in the Pines is a beautiful home on a lovely property. There was plenty of room inside and out for our family reunion (25 of us in all). The kitchen was well-stocked and there were inside and outside toys/games for the kids. The owners were good communicators and quick to reply when we had questions. We had a wonderful time!
  • We enjoyed this enormous, really nicely appointed house. Hiking nearby and the town of Lititz had everything we could hope for in terms of food, take-out, and interesting walks
  • This is a really cool house with lots of old fashioned feels! Lots of rooms
  • This was a very interesting stay! So much history in this house and it was so nice getting everyone together. The hosts are amazing and incredibly helpful.

Unfortunately, pets aren’t allowed. The hosts note that events have to be pre-approved due to zoning. This is their family home and they emphasize that murder mystery dinners or haunted/ghost parties are not allowed.
