I absolutely LOVE this mountain house! I love those giant floor-to-ceiling windows and the large wrap-around deck… everything seems to draw your attention to the beautiful mountains and the lake below. Even though the lake is named Lake Purgatory, it seems more like heaven to me! But my favorite feature of this house is that hot tub! I love the way this hot tub sits on its own private deck with a little bridge that connects it to the main deck, creating a sense of privacy and offering the best views. If I stayed here, I don’t think I’d leave that hot tub!
This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house that sleeps up to 9 people. It comes with a canoe that you can take down to the lake and its located just 1.5 miles from Purgatory Resort, which offers skiing, snow tubing, dog sledding, and snowshoeing in the winter, and hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, an alpine slide, zipline, scenic chairlifts, summer tubing, and even a mountain coaster in the summer. The house is also just 25 minutes from Durango, where there are a lot of options for shopping and dining. You can really choose whether you’d like to have a quiet, secluded getaway, an active vacation, or a combo of both!

That large open living space seems like it would be perfect for large family gatherings or a group of friends.
