If you haven’t had a true vacation in a while, and I mean a real vacation, like days without even checking your work email, check this house out. It’s a log cabin located right on the Brazos River, about 45 minutes from Fort Worth. There’s no wifi service here, so you definitely have to unplug and take a few real days off, but this seems like what a lot of us need right about now!
If you bring your family, they won’t get bored. The river is great for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing and the owners provide fishing poles, life jackets, and paddles. In the rec room, there are games, puzzles, DVDs, ping pong, and foosball so you have a lot of options for entertainment.
Book your stay at this property
It’s a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house that sleeps up to 8 people and would be perfect for a family getaway. The weekends are booking up quickly but there are still dates available during the week, opening up more in the spring.
Here are some reviews from past guests:
–“Great spot to relax and enjoy nature. We loved having the kids just be kids and play without being tied to their electronics. We took them across the river to the beach and build sandcastles and looked for seashells. Was a wonderful weekend!”
-“We enjoyed the absolute quiet of the cabin and loved the location for our group! Fully stocked kitchen made meals so easy and everyone slept comfortably. Enjoyed the fire pit before the rain and overall had a great time.”
–“Beautiful Property. Clean, quiet and plenty of extra amenities in the house. Exactly as described in the listing. Great place to escape the grid and reconnect with your family.”
