This 120-year-old Victorian house is both gorgeous and resilient! It makes up one of only 5% of the remaining houses that withstood both the 1906 and Loma Prieta earthquakes. In today’s time, I think we can all take inspiration from sources of strength like this.
I love that the current owner has added her own eclectic style, international art, and modern comforts to the home while still maintaining those charming historic features that we all love, like the parquet floors, wainscoting, crown molding, large windows, and high ceilings.
This house is located right in the heart of the Mission District and the owner has a lot of recommendations for some great food and activities nearby!

The house is listed on Airbnb as a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house sleeping 6. From what I can tell from the pictures, it looks like there is 1 main bedroom with several parlors that can be converted into bedrooms by closing the pocket doors and folding out the sofa beds (all with memory foam mattresses and very comfortable according to past guests).
Most of San Francisco can get foggy and colder than you would expect but the Mission District is known for being sunnier and warmer because of the Twin Peaks mountains, which split the fog and leave this area sunny and breezy! In addition to all of the great food, art studios, and markets in this area, you are also close to Dolores Park and just about 3 miles from the Golden Gate Park.
