There are quite a few dates open this summer, but if a mid-summer vacation in the desert gets you sweating already, look ahead to your fall schedule because this one has some fall availability too!

Just imagine hiking all morning, visiting the hot springs in the afternoon, and then heading back to this desert oasis for a nice dinner and wine on the deck while the sun sets! How relaxing! From the authentic Adobe exterior, to those gorgeous views, to the Southwestern-style decor inside, this one seems to have all you need for a relaxing desert vacation!

I love the wood detailing in the ceilings and the Southwestern decor throughout the house. You really get an authentic Southwestern experience here.

I love that arched window in the kitchen, the natural wood shelves, and the patterned curtains. I would love to try cooking some authentic Southwestern recipes in that kitchen! (Emphasis on the TRY!)

This reviewer enjoyed the house and also had some great hiking recommendations as well as some great tips if you visit with your pet:

“Spacious, private, well-built, fully stocked for cooking and comfortable beds. Stuart was helpful to meet us and provide an initial tour. We had a great time exploring the immediate area with a couple of early morning hikes with the dogs. Explored Jemez mountains, and can recommend Battleship Rock (hike up to warm springs ~2miles), Jemez Hot Springs (4 pools, spacious, well manicured), Valles Caldera Preserve (great nordic and hiking), Bandelier National Monument (site seeing, hike back to historic pueblo), Santa Fe (old town for shopping and dining). There is doggy day-care in Rio Rancho (~30 mins, Pet Paradise, first day is free — if you go, stop by Oval Dog Coffee just around the corner).”

This reviewer had some helpful tips and an important note about the wifi:

“Enchanting home in the desert. Exactly as described. My son was a bit weary as we went through San Ysidro (not much of a town) but we all fell in love with this beautifully built adobe when we arrived. Views are incredible from every window including the shower and you have plenty of privacy to not need curtains! We did hikes right from the front door as well as day trips to Santa Fe and Bandelier but also closer fun towns such as Jemez Springs. The Mountain Day Spa not too far away is great! If you want a true New Mexico desert experience this home is a great option with privacy and charm. Important to note: As said; there is no wifi but due to the nearby cell tower there is excellent service. We brought our hot spots and had better internet than in Taos, no problems at all. So if you can’t be completely off the grid….its not an issue. :)”

If you are looking for a relaxing, secluded getaway in the desert, check out this perfect Adobe!
