What would I give to stay in an adorable cottage next door to cuddly alpacas, sheep, goats and horses? Pretty much anything right about now! This farm stay getaway is located in sunny Southern California in the Santa Ynez wine country. So you can add a little wine to your day and you are set!
I love the farmhouse decor style of the guesthouse cottage because it’s so light, airy, and refreshing. You have access to your own private gardens and can pet and feed the animals, whose enclosures line up with the back of the fenced-in yard.

There is a lot of availability right now and I bet it’s a great time to visit this area!
The guesthouse cottage has an open floor plan with 1 bedroom downstairs with a queen bed separated from the main area by a sliding barn door. There’s also additional space upstairs with two twin-size beds. Due to the animals, stairs, firepit etc, no children or pets are allowed.
Here are some reviews from past guests:
-“Jen’s Anavo farmhouse was amazing. Such a nice getaway from the hustle & bustle of Los Angeles. From the private entry, to the lavender garden, and being greeted by the adorable animals – it was certainly a stay to remember! A beautiful farm house with thoughtful touches and a warm welcoming. The complementary bottle of wine, soft drinks and eggs were icing on the cake! We loved waking up to the lush green grass and the snow-topped mountains. And we especially enjoyed feeding the animals! Jen made a special exception/accommodation for us, which we truly appreciated! We will be back soon!“
-“Jen’s place was fantastic. Jen had very good communication early on which made the whole trip smooth and in a way provided privacy during our trip because we had all of our questions answered ahead of time. The place is spacious. Being on the farm was a great experience, so much fun to pet and feed the animals. The place had lots of nice touches to it, including wine and cheese to help us relax and feel at home. Thanks.”
-“Jen’s farm stay is beautiful inside and outside! The garden outside the Airbnb is exquisite. The inside is spacious and even better than the photos with a downstairs living room and upstairs bedroom and office area with stunning views of the farm. Also it was so cozy with a fireplace in the living room. I loved walking to Bob’s Well Bread in the morning for breakfast and it’s a few minutes drive to Los Olivos. I cannot wait to return for a tranquil stay. The farm animals are adorable ! 10/10 recommend!”
Anavo Farms is only a short bike ride away from the town of Los Olivos. Between the animals and wine country, you won’t run out of things to do here!
