Featured on USA Today and HGTV is this “shoe house”. It’s located in rural farm country but under an hour from Lancaster Amish, Hershey’s Chocolate, and Historic Gettysburg Battlefield. So this is great if you’re wanting some seclusion but close enough to attractions to experience what Pennsylvania has to offer. The home itself features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 living spaces, and kitchen, and a dining area. Along with a hot tub, fire pit area with seating, a charcoal grill, and a picnic area.

This rental has 4.97 stars, read what some of the past guests had to say:
- “Home is super cute and an awesome stay. My group of 4 was the perfect fit, but anything more would have been too many- home is pretty narrow. Firewood not provided but home depot was a close commute. Hosts communicated well and the place was very clean.“
- “Thrilled the present owners are sharing this roadside oddity with the world and actually letting others experience the essence of living in a shoe. It is like staying in a European castle but ALL about the American dream, hard work, determination and giving back. Well Mr. Haines, you are still giving back, thanks to Naomi and Waylon’s generosity. Excellent experience.“
Things to keep in mind before booking, there is a discount for military/first responder/medical, you will need to bring your own firewood and charcoal, the property is gated, ear plugs and noise machines are available for light sleepers, the stairs are narrow and steep, this is for a maximum of 6 guests, parties/smoking are prohibited, and pets cannot stay here.
