Stay in this Beautifully Restored 1910 Home with AMAZING Woodwork | Metaline Falls, WA

This home was built in 1910 by Kirtland Cutter, a renowned architect. The home is located on the Pend Oreille River, scroll down to see how beautiful it is! I want to live in this area now. The house has a nice blend of Romantic and Arts & Crafts architecture. It’s super cozy but still feels sleek. Something great about this house is that there are original light fixtures, floors, and windows! We appreciate that over here.

When staying here you and 7 other guests have access to the entire home which features 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living space, a kitchen, dining area, and office space. Along with a patio and maintained grounds outside! The property is surrounded by Washington State’s best fishing, kayaking, and hiking spots. AND it’s only a short walk from the town center where you can find restaurants and grocery stores.

  • The Rock House is absolutely amazing! We love all of the classic craftsmanship, and how carefully the renovation has made it shine, while adding some modern amenities. The kitchen is exquisitely stocked with spices, which upon seeing them I realized I had all the spices needed to make Chicken Tica Masala from scratch, and it was delicious. While we personally couldn’t afford the beautiful stove, it was definitely Chef ready. Our only complaint on the kitchen would be that it lacked baking dishes for our casseroles, but we still made it with the Dutch Oven. While the BBQ patio wasn’t available due to snow cover, the stove was stocked with Broiler Pans for our steaks. While the historical Flue system made the fireplace currently unusable, the Boiler and Radiator heating system worked amazingly well during our Winter Getaway. The Rock House was a PERFECT Romantic getaway for our Anniversary, and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts. If you’re considering it, YES! you should!

Things to note before booking your stay, there is a carriage house on the property that can also be rented, pets are not allowed but the hosts offer to help find boarding options in the area, and there is air conditioning!
