Stay in this E. Fay Jones Designed Home on Greers Ferry Lake | Heber, AR

If you’re not familiar with E. Fay Jones, he was an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright and was his only disciple to receive the AIA Gold Medal. Which is the highest honor given by the American Institute of Architects. He’s known for the three glass chapels in Arkansas along with 135 houses and 12 other chapels throughout 20 different states.

This one in specific was built in 1965, close to Heber Springs where you can find restaurants, a cafe, trails, and waterfalls. Immerse yourself in this history-rich home, it’s fit for 5 guests but past visitors have said it’s perfect for 2. This seems like a great anniversary spot. There is a bedroom, two pull-out couches, 1.5 baths, multiple living spaces, an original kitchen, a dining area, and a large deck.

There are a ton of open dates starting in October, this seems like it’d be an unforgettable experience.

Take a look at what the past guests had to say:

  • It was one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve had in a long time. The legendary architecture of Fay Jones is packed with details and creativity rarely experienced in modern home building. Think tiny house before they were cool. The setting for the Stoneflower is fantastic. You feel like you are camping in the trees. Seriously the coolest place. Enjoy the living room as it opens to the amazing deck. Highly recommend. We will return!
  • We loved staying in this piece of history! The house was perfect for our party of four (two adults, two teens). Kitchen was well stocked – we made dinner and breakfast during our stay. Eden Isle is beautiful, and we would love to visit again!

Some things to note before booking, the home is in a dry county so bring your own bottles if that’s something that matters to you, this is not suitable for children or infants, and pets are not allowed!
