This is a very unique elevated glamping experience. The Castle House Estate is located right in the middle of Joshua Tree and has several Airbnb rental properties, including these unique guard towers. This Airbnb rental is for Guard Tower #1, which has three floors connected by a spiral staircase. At the top level, you will find a cozy queen bed and a ladder that takes you up to the rooftop where you can do some evening stargazing. The tower suite also has a mini fridge and a Nespresso coffee maker, and there is a fire pit outside, perfect for roasting s’mores.
One feature I love about this rental is that you can order room service, which includes pizza, homemade cookies, snacks, and mini-bar service! There is also a camel available for special events! I never thought I would see an Airbnb with a camel, but here I’ve found one!

One important thing to note about this property is that the bathroom is located outside of the tower about 20 steps from the tower. There are two private toilets and two outdoor showers. The good news is that this is a pet-friendly rental!

The property is about 10 miles from coffee shops & fast food. Joshua Tree is a lot like Palm Springs. And with almost no traffic, so easy & fast to get to.”

It can get quite cold in November but the heater works well! Didn’t get to try room service this time around but I hope to stay here again sometime in the future to do so.”
