This one caught me off guard! It definitely gives off some spaceship vibes on the exterior, but once I got a glimpse of the interior, I was pleasantly surprised. It seems much larger from the inside and has some amazing woodwork and strategically placed windows to let in lots of natural light. And on 28 acres of forest land, it seems like it would be such a nice, secluded getaway!

I absolutely love all of the woodwork in this house, especially the natural color and the way the architects repeated the theme of the curve with the woodwork curving up the walls and the woodwork on the stairs as it curves up to the loft. All of this wood paired with the natural light from the windows give this place a very relaxing feel. I’d love to come back and relax in this space after a day of hiking!
The dome house has a wide-open floor plan with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it perfect for a family gathering or a get-together with friends. It also has a brand new hot tub, housewide sound system, well-equipped kitchen, fast internet, towel warmers, and an outdoor tent with a heater so you can enjoy eating outside all year round.
The house is located on 28 acres of private forest just a few miles from the town of New Paltz, a village in the Hudson Valley that is known for its music scene, farm-to-table restaurants, the SUNY New Paltz campus, and the historic Mohonk Preserve. It’s also close to the famous Mohonk Mountain House, a Victorian castle resort built in 1869.

A few things to note: AWD is recommended as the house is located on top of a hill with a long gravel driveway. Also, this house is not pet-friendly but the owners do make exceptions to this if you message them prior to booking to make sure your pet meets their requirements.
