This Picturesque Hudson Valley Federalist Home would make the Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway! | Coxsackey, NY

This home has the perfect blend of old and new. Built in 1790 and lovingly restored throughout the years, I could see this as the perfect setting for a Thanksgiving getaway. In this gorgeous 5 bedroom house, every room has a fireplace and a beautiful view.

In the warmer months, you can take a swim in the spring-fed pond or stroll around the flower gardens. But this time of year, I think I would curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book! There’s also a pavilion that overlooks the pond that can be booked separately and used as a wedding venue! It’s worth scrolling to the bottom to see pictures of it!

Here are some reviews from past guests:

“Windrift Hall was the perfect setting for our small wedding. The property was so serene and gave us the French vibes we were looking for in a venue. It was extra special that we got to include our two furry family members during this special time. Thanks so much to Susanne and Dawn for answering all our questions and for maintaining such a beautiful home!”

“Amazingly beautiful property! The brick estate is covered in gorgeous ivy, and the landscape is from a fairytale- complete with a tree framed driveway and a private pond. The entire property is instagrammable. The experience is authentic- with decor that transports you back in time.
Susanne was a gracious host- accessible and helpful. It was a truly unique experience!
The area itself has multiple attractions locally and great restaurants nearby.

“A fairytale setting. The views and grounds are stunning from the huge lawn, to the pond and the surrounding flowers, trees and plants. The house stays true to its history and features beautiful aesthetics such as original doors, staircases, floors. The furniture is carefully curated with artistic and vintage finds and with comfortable beds and chairs. All amenities are available making it a comfortable stay. We enjoyed making breakfast in the kitchen with our family and dining in the living room and sometimes outside. Definitely stay here if you get the chance. It’s great for large groups.”
