This Treehouse has a Surprisingly Luxurious Interior! | Old Fort, NC

Wow! When I originally saw the pictures of this interior, I had no idea it was actually a treehouse! I love that this house gives you such a beautiful and comfortable space while also offering some incredible views of the surrounding forest. And to make it even better, this one was voted the #1 most visited Airbnb in North Carolina in 2020. The treehouse is located in Old Fort, which is 10 minutes from Black Mountain and 20 minutes from Asheville.

Book your stay at this property

Being one of the top Airbnb rentals in NC, this one is VERY popular, but I did find a few dates available in January and February and on into next year. This one seems like it would be worth planning ahead for!

This treehouse has luxury bedding, an LED fireplace, internet, cable tv, heat/air, a refrigerater, microwave and cooktop. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water and a composting toilet, both located on the deck. And of course, my favorite feature, the hot tub which is located under the house. It really looks like the perfect place to relax and unwind at the end of the day!

A few things to note: this house is pet-friendly and a 4WD vehicle is recommended.

Read why past guests have loved staying here:

“The tree house is magical from the moment you begin your walk into the property. Every little detail has been considered. The entrance lighting, “swinging bridge” entrance, the crisp and bright decor. Exceptionally comfortable bedding and seating . The deck on the back side overlooking the forest of Mountain Laurel, Rhododendron and hardwoods is beautiful. We loved the outdoor shower and the hot tub. I think this is the cleanest ABNB property we’ve visited, it was immaculate. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.”

And this review included a few local recommendations:

-“We loved the treehouse , especially the beautiful and unique setting, comfort, outdoor shower, hot tub, surprise treats, back deck up in the trees (for morning Keurig/coffee, reading, happy hour…). If you’re interested in exploring the area, here are my #1 recommendations, thanks to suggestions from the owner, Melissa, who was SO kind and communicative:
– Hillmans (right nearby in Old Fort) for local craft beer;
– Bush Farmhouse in Black Mountain for delectable dinner (with awesome outdoor option by their garden and pet donkeys)
– 8-10 mile BEST hike on GreyBeard Trail (trailhead at Montreat)
– Lunch (amazing BLT) after hike at Open Oven in Black Mountain where there’s an upstairs terrace with view of mountains
– Shops + great coffee at Dripolator in Black Mountain
– delicious pizza dinner at Fresh in Black Mountain
– Total relaxation at the treehouse!”
