This was such a great house for our long weekend in Oneida, New York! We came for a family member’s wedding and it was so nice to have this big, comfy house to come home to after the rehearsal dinner and to get ready in before the wedding. With 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and a nice open living room/kitchen area, it was perfect for our family, including my in-laws and our two young children. My favorite thing about this house was the wall of windows off of the living room and the amazing back deck overlooking the lake. It was a big plus that the patio furniture was also comfortable and included a large dining table that was perfect for outdoor dining!

The layout of the house was really comfortable for my family with 4 bedrooms upstairs and one master suite downstairs. With two young children on totally different sleep schedules, it was nice that they could each have their own room. And all of the beds were comfortable, making it possible for us to get some good sleep after our long drive and lots of wedding activities throughout the weekend. In the main living space on the first floor, there is a half bathroom and an open kitchen/living room with a great view of the lake. There isn’t a separate dining room, but we ended up eating around the kitchen island most of the time or eating outside on the large dining table on the deck.
We had a lot of wedding activities that weekend so we didn’t get to explore the area as much as I would like to. When I come back, I’d love to explore some of the cute restaurants, bars, and shops in downtown Sylvan Beach and the surrounding areas. The Lake House at Sylvan Beach – this iconic building is home to a restaurant specializing in American fare with a great view of the lake, and slot machines to spice up your time here! I’d love to check it out next time I’m in town!
Offering USDA-certified grass-fed beef, sausages, whole chickens, eggs, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and ready-to-go foods like meatballs, sandwiches, and salads; I would love to stop here for some healthy local treats!
Oneida Lake Brew Haus – 32 taps, wine, frozen drinks in the summer, delicious homemade food, and great indoor & outdoor space. Sign me up!
As you can see, this quaint little lake town has a LOT to offer and some low-key vibes that have me craving to return soon. I would definitely book this house again and hope you all do too!
