Stay in this Beautifully Renovated Victorian Home in NOLA! | New Orleans, LA

I’ve got NOLA on my mind as Mardi Gras is quickly approaching! Although it’s a bit too late to book anything for this year’s festivities, this one just caught my eye and I couldn’t help looking into it more. It is named “The Bywater Beauty” and I can see why! It was renovated so thoughtfully, keeping so many historic features without sacrificing modern comforts and beauty. This house was actually featured on HGTV for its historic renovation! The house is located in the hip Bywater neighborhood, which has so much to offer in the way of coffee shops, bars, and restaurants, while also being quieter than the French Quarter and areas closer to downtown NOLA.

Book your stay at this property

Spring dates are already booked for this property, but there are quite a few summer dates still available!

This house has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom and sleeps 2. Some of the historic features include: 12.5 foot ceilings, heart-pine wood floor, original sliding pocket doors, and original fireplaces in every room. The bedroom features a Simmons brand pillow-top mattress and a custom headboard built by HGTV designer, Holly Baker. It also has a dedicated parking spot, which is not always easy to come by in New Orleans. I love that this house gives you an authentic New Orleans feel while also being modern, light, airy, and comfortable. I’d absolutely love to stay here next time I visit New Orleans!

I read one review that really stood out; this woman not only loved the house, but also had some great recommendations for things to do in the neighborhood that I thought would be helpful if you decide to stay here:

What a gem!! My husband and I spent a delightful week in Suzanne’s lovely place. The place was light and airy. The kitchen was FANTASTIC. We spent a ton of time sitting at the island. Suzanne was communicative and friendly. The neighborhood is funky, eclectic, and with just enough grit to make it interesting. There’s a ton of eateries to choose from. We thoroughly enjoyed The Country Club and The Bywater Bakery. Both are a short walk from the house. Crescent City Park is a few blocks away and it shouldn’t be missed. My favorite part was relaxing on the porch in the rocking chair on Christmas Day. The neighbors were lovely. Everyone said hello as they passed by. Take a moment to rent one of the city public bikes and tour around the neighborhood. There are so many delightful things to see. If you have any hesitation about booking Suzanne’s place put your worries away. You’re in for a treat. Thanks Suzanne!

So next time you’re visiting New Orleans, check out this lovely house in the Bywater neighborhood and let us know how your stay is!
