1790s Log Cabin at Historic Oak Hill Farm | Round Hill, VA

Oak Hill farm is marked as a historical site in Loudoun County. It was the Lodge family residence and dates back to the 1790s. The cabin is beautifully maintained and has a bunch of antiques inside. The surrounding environment is breathtaking! The flowers, the grass, etc.. It is all so green and you can tell the hosts care about the property. The cabin is meant for two guests as there is only a queen bed on the second floor. There’s a great window in the bedroom that looks over the farm, I bet it’s extremely peaceful when it snows.

Book you stay at this property

You can book this cabin for $250 a night, definitely worth it considering that it’s close to wineries and breweries and you have an entire farm to explore!

Some reviewers talk about how they’ve stayed here multiple times, so there has to be a special reason that brings them back!

I wouldn’t even want to be on my phone during my stay; 1. because the cell service isn’t fantastic and 2. I would go here to decompress. This is a place to get away from work and social life. It would be great to reconnect with yourself or your partner! I’m making a plan in my head right now; one night go out and explore the town and then the next make a meal at home! During the day i’d love to see the neighboring farms and maybe hike some of the Appalachian Trail.

This is another listing that almost has 5 stars all around, check out these reviews:

Ray and Christina provided us with everything we needed to feel welcome and comfortable.
It was especially nice to wake up in the morning in the loft and be able to see out of the beautiful arched window to the farm and the frost on the grass. Really great spot!”

-“Ray & Christina were fantastic hosts and very easy to communicate with. The cabin was so charming, clean and centrally located to all of our wine stops.”

-“Lovely cabin on a beautiful property. The farm fresh eggs were a real treat. Very relaxing stay.”

-“The accommodations were quaint, clean and comfortable. The location is rural, extremely peaceful. The quality of sunlight in the morning was remarkable and a fire in the wood stove was a perfect end to our day of exploring.”

This is a great anniversary spot, it is super romantic and quaint. It is close to antique shops, wineries, breweries, hiking trails, and more. You could even stay on the grounds if you wanted to. Walk the farm and see the animals, cook your meals in the updated kitchen, read a book in front of the fireplace…you decide! Also you can bring your dog here for a fee if they’re under 50 pounds.
