Take a Trip Back in Time in this 1796 Log Cabin | Rural Hall, NC

This charming cabin has so much to offer! It’s a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home built in 1796 with historic ties to R.J. Reynolds’ tobacco company, the Great Wagon Road, and the Memorial Industrial School. It’s located on the Old Holler Farm, a 130 acre working farm with cows, horses, chickens, and goats. And there’s also a cute little pond, perfect for kayaking or fishing. This one would be perfect for a relaxing getaway in nature!

Here are some reviews from past guests:

“Lovely historic cabin in an ideal setting! We spent a month here during the summer and it did not disappoint. Obviously set expectations appropriately given the age of the cabin, and enjoy yourself! The porch is so nice to sit and enjoy nature happening around you. This is no longer a working farm, but there is plenty to see. Lots of fish in the pond, along with a few large turtles, a family of Geese, and deer popping in and out. Lots of beautiful birds for birdwatching too. Daniel is extremely responsive and helpful if you have any questions. Location can’t be beat as you are close to everything but feel nicely secluded and away from it all!”

“Incredible stay. Walking into this cabin is walking into hundreds of years of history. Build in extra time for your trip because you’ll find yourself staring at the walls pondering the history and craftsmanship of the cabin! Wish I owned something even close to what this gem is. Stay here, you won’t regret it!”

“This cabin was everything we expected. The location was remote and so quiet and peaceful yet not too far to get to the city for dinner. It’s also within 30 min to Hanging Rock State Park do we did some hiking there. The cabin is very rustic so some things are a little quirky, but we thought that just added to the charm. I found the construction and details around the house fascinating. The yard is great and our dogs loved running around. Overall an enjoyable and relaxing pre-holiday get away!”
