Stay in this Historic 1799 Guest House where Robert Redford filmed! | Savannah, GA

What a beautiful historic cottage this is and you can’t beat the location in the heart of the Landmark Historic District of Savannah. I think I would definitely need to rent Robert Redford’s 2010 film “The Conspirator” and see if I can recognize the scenes filmed in this house. I can see why it would have been chosen! I mean, look at those incredible old-growth pine beams that continue on a curve from the walls to the ceiling! This house has also been featured on several local ghost tours and Savannah’s Tour of Homes. (I may want to inquire about the ghosts prior to booking?! Are they friendly? I need to know!) And if you sit out on the front porch, you can even see horse-drawn carriages passing by on their way to the city market. I think I would really feel transported back in time here!

The guest house is booked up for most of the spring but there are several weeks in the summer still available!

Besides the interesting history of this house, another aspect that stands out to me is its location. Being .3 miles from River Street, it’s close to many great restaurants, shopping, The Savannah College of Art & Design, house museums, and antique shops. And it’s also close to the venues for the Savannah Music Festival and the Savannah Film Festival and offers free parking too!
