A 1953 Double Decker Bus with a Mid-Century Modern Twist | Portland, OR

This double-decker bus was recently renovated to a mid-century modern rental. Its journey started in 1953 England as a commuter bus in Manchester, then was in San Francisco and Mt. St. Helens for a while! I love how much light there is in this bus, with all the windows and airy decor it’s perfect. The bus features 1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom, a living and dining space, a kitchen, and a reading nook. There is also a deck with some chairs and a private area with Adirondacks and cafe lights!

You’ll be glad to know that the property is only about 15 minutes from downtown Portland and some great hiking spots.

Book your stay at this property

There are open dates between November and January, this is fit for 2 guests!

I have always wanted to convert a bus of my own, maybe something like this will be on my list…

Read what these past guests had to say about their stay in this double-decker, note that reviews before August 2022 were in regards to a different rental:

  • Awesome stay, and I have to say the most comfortable air bnb I’ve stayed in in a while. Clean, comfy, cute and safe location still close enough to explore Portland. Did an awesome job renovating the interior of the bus. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
  • If you’re looking for a unique stay in Portland – this is the spot! The bus was clean and cozy. Whit was very communicative. You can tell that a lot of love was put into making this bus a home. We were a short drive from downtown Portland/other places we wanted to visit.

Things to note before booking your stay, some spaces are narrow and some ceilings are short, there is parking for 1 car, and pets and children are not allowed to stay here.

We have featured a couple of double-deckers in the past, check out this one in Caldwell, ID:
