A-frame cabin for $60 a night! | 25 min from Asheville

I’d take this over a tent any day! The cabin is located on a private mountain right next to Pisgah National Forest. It’s a couple miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and a short drive to Asheville. So you can either spend the day hiking on the trails or walking around downtown Asheville. The airbnb includes the cabin, an outhouse, grill, picnic table, and a firepit. You’ll need to bring your own sleeping bags, pads, heaters, etc.. Don’t expect the cabin to have anything in it. Oh and it’s dog friendly!

In need of a camping trip but don’t have a tent like me? This a-frame is budget friendly and secluded!

I’ve never been camping but I feel like this would be a great start. I’ve always been a little scared to sleep in a tent in the middle of the woods in fear of animals…or people attacking me. Silly right? Seeing this a-frame made me want to go camping though, i’d feel super safe in this! I’d love to spend the day exploring the trails and finding views and maybe even some streams. Then unwind by the fire and get cozy in the cabin.

Still not convinced? Check out some of the reviews:

-“Cute little place to camp in the woods! Definitely bring a comfortable air mattress and/or multiple sleeping pads – the floor can get hard pretty quickly at night! If you’re a light sleeper, you might consider ear plugs as well. Every raindrop, falling leaf or stick is amplified through the plastic roof of the cabin. We stayed warm with a Mr. Heater in 22 degree weather and had a cozy thanksgiving holiday here – would definitely return!”

-“Absolutely magical in the fall!!”

-“The A frame was the perfect place to stay for our last stop on our vacation! It was super secluded and quiet. Beautiful drive up a mountain too! 100% recommend.”

You truly make this one your own! In some of the pictures you can see where past visitors have made it look super homey with battery powered lights and such. You’ll want to note that there are bears in the area so just be mindful with food. Cell service is spotty so take a digital detox while you’re here! The drive up the mountain is steep and bumpy so an AWD/4WD would be ideal but not necessary.
