Geodesic Dome House offers 360 views of the desert | Palm Springs, CA

Of all of the dome houses I’ve seen recently, this one by far has the best view! Where else do you get 360-degree views of the Coachella Valley, the San Jacinto mountains, Joshua Tree National Park, and the city lights of Palm Springs? This house seems to have it all, close to the unique desert oasis city of Palm Springs, but far enough away to really be able to relax and unwind at the end of the day.

Book your stay at this property

The Dome House has availability starting in May but if that’s too hot for you, check your calendar for a fall booking.

Whether you’re going to the Coachella Music Festival (sadly this one is already booked for this year’s festival, but you can always plan ahead for next year!), hiking in Joshua Tree National Park, or checking out the Mid-Century Modern architecture of Palm Springs, this house just seems like it checks all the boxes for your perfect desert getaway.

With three bedrooms (all with queen beds) and 2.5 bathrooms, the house sleeps 6 and would be great for a trip with friends or family. (I don’t think I’d recommend bringing young children here after seeing those stairs though!)

The house also has a covered patio for outdoor dining, a hot tub, an office space, and unlike a lot of other desert Airbnbs, great cell service and Wifi (you can actually see the nearest Wifi tower from the house!)

One important thing to note that the owner and several past guests stressed: follow the owner’s directions carefully in terms of getting to the house because your GPS will not give the right directions. The last bit of the road leading up to the house is a dirt road and although it is flat, it would be difficult for a low-profile vehicle so this is definitely important to take into account before booking.

Read why past guests love this one:

“Pavlina’s place is fantastic! So unique, a real post modern desert experience! The star gazing was amazing, and sitting with morning coffee staring up at San Jacinto Mountain was our daily treasured ritual. This place is a real find.”

“This property was even greater than the photos show. The decor, views, and home amenities were delightful. We really enjoyed our time in the house, and nearby in Downtown Palm Springs and our short trip to Joshua Tree – which was very easy to get to from the property. Pavlina’s communication was top tier. From the moment we booked, the host provided helpful resources for us to best enjoy our stay. As many other reviews mention, it is very important that you follow directions to the house – and if you do, you should have no issue getting through the dirt road. I certainly recommend this property!”

“Beautiful magical dome home. The details and design of the home are majestic. A space you will never regret or forget.”
