Historic 1880 Queen Ann Victorian Bed & Breakfast | Carthage, NC

In the middle of the quaint historic town of Carthage, NC is The Old Buggy Inn. It is a Queen Ann Victorian-style house built in the 1880s by the president of the Tyson and Jones Buggy Company.

After looking into the history of the area, I found out that The Tyson and Jones Buggy Company was actually seen as the “Cadillac” of buggy companies at the time. Wealthy foreign royals would even come here to have their buggies made! There is still an office building from the factory remaining and it’s located right around the corner from the Inn.

“This was one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in many years. Very nice folks, wonderful and loving dog, wonderful food, and I slept like a baby. Highest recommendation”

“Scott and Karyl are wonderfully gracious hosts who make you feel immediately at home. The inn is cozy where you’ll easily drift off to sleep or saddle up with family, or a good book, in its lovely common areas. You’ll feel the history as you walk about the inn, and you’ll be treated to an experience that no run-of-the-mill hotel could ever hope to offer.
