Mid-Century Modern Enthusiasts will love this Iconic Wave House! | Lambertville, NJ

This house has been bought and renovated by an architect and mid-century enthusiast who has a passion for renovating older homes. You can tell he paid attention to all the details in the renovation, design, and decor of the house. A lesser-known characteristic of mid-century homes is the wave-style roof, which makes this house so unique and appealing, both from the exterior and interior.

And you know me, I LOVE all of those windows that bring your attention to the beautifully wooded property surrounding the house. There is something so relaxing about that. Another great feature is that this house rests on a 10 acre wooded property so it’s quite secluded. You don’t have to worry about being on display to anyone except the forest animals and bugs!

Book your stay at this property

The Wave House is booking up quickly for the summer so book your stay here before everyone else does!

This is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath house and sleeps 6. It has an open floor plan for the kitchen, living room, dining room, and game room, where you’ll find an extensive record collection. It comes with a fully stocked kitchen and also has an office for those who need to work remotely while here. The house also has wifi, a TV with Netflix, and is pet-friendly. With all of that natural light coming in those windows, the owner also provides sleep masks for those who like to sleep in in the morning. I think I would take him up on that and totally relax here!

The Wave House is located 2.5 miles from downtown Lambertville, NJ and 4 miles from New Hope, PA, which is just across the Delaware River. Also close by you have the Howell Living History Farm, which is a great place to visit with kids. About 1 mile from the house is the D & R Canal Towpath, a former canal path-turned state park where visitors can hike or bike the path or kayak the canal. Additional historic sites you may want to visit while you’re here include Washington Crossing Park and Goat Hill Overlook.

“We highly recommend staying at The Wave – it is just a glorious house with many views of nature, sky, birds and all seen through the open plan and many windows of this fantastic mid-century modern home. The Wave is stunning, and also perfectly organized, clean, has every single thing you could need, and is furnished and designed with mid-century modern pieces, lovely bedding and housewares, and etc. The location is great, a perfect get-a-way if you want nature and parks, fantastic restaurants in the nearby towns, antiquing and thrifting, a living history farm just up the road, many historic towns and buildings, lovely walks along the Delaware, arts and performances. John, the host, is truly helpful and kind and helped to make this a fantastic visit.”

“Wonderful unique home in a lovely setting. Deer and wild turkeys in the yard. A great space for
pups to explore along with us. The first of the spring flowers and fabulous nearby New Hope and Lambertville. The views of the full moon with clouds rushing past out the bedroom glass, comfy beds, listening to Joni Mitchell from fabulous vinyl collection while sipping wine. So many thoughtful spaces it felt like a home, not a hotel. Thoughtfully curated spaces with great art and even a small office we could work from. Can’t wait to return in all seasons.”

“The Wave is a home to be experienced. Fantastic hosts, amazing vinyl collection, beautiful property. Already looking forward to coming back!”
