Modern Home with Stunning Views of the Pacific! | Arch Cape, OR

This is your chance to stay in an award-winning modern oceanfront home designed by famed Northwest architect Tom Kundig! I think the best aspect of this home is the way it was designed with large windows along the west side of the house to provide the most breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. This house is situated in Oswald West State Park so it is beautifully secluded. It also has a gourmet kitchen with a Miele Gas range (perhaps an opportunity for your inner-chef to come out!). For me, nothing is better than cooking in a kitchen with a view, and this one certainly has one! Some other unique features include a dining table that doubles as a ping pong table, heated floors, a gas fireplace, and a custom Herman Miller leather sofa. And in case you didn’t get enough of a view from the living room, step into your Master bedroom or bathroom where you’ll have more floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the ocean! There’s also a second bedroom with a queen bed and a guest bathroom so you can invite another couple or a few more friends!

Here is what some past guests have said about their stay:

“Beautiful home with some of the most amazing views on the Oregon Coast! From the architecture to the furnishings, this is a very special place to spend a few days with someone you love. The ping pong table plays like a dream and the master shower with a window that opens up to the ocean were among the high points for us.”

“Great host, great place, great views! Don’t have any 2nd thoughts booking here… loved our stay!”

“House was in an amazing and quiet location with wonderful uninterrupted views of the ocean. Perfect for a late Fall getaway. We (just two of us) had fun with the ping pong table and enjoyed the cozy nook for reading and watching TV in front of the gas fireplace. Master bathroom is amazing with ocean viewing whilst you shower and with the sounds of the ocean in the most comfortable bed at night, how could you not love this place.”

A few things to note: there is no direct beach access from this property because of a 20 ft drop down to the beach so the closest access is about 100 ft to the north along the road. For this reason, there are no pets or children under 13 allowed. I would recommend booking this one with your partner or a small group of friends and enjoying some adult time! The owners also recommend lower water usage in the summer months as it is a precious commodity in this region.

So if you love modern architecture, breathtaking ocean views, and the Pacific Northwest, this one is perfect for you!
