Stay in a cabin built in the 1800s | Appomattox, VA

I really wasn’t expecting the inside to look THAT cute and cozy. This cabin was built in the 1800s and was moved in the 1970s. I love how it still has that historic feel, but with a modern touch. You are surrounded by trees here but not far from the road. The house sits on 50 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains so there are some trails nearby to explore! The property is between Appomattox and Farmville where there are tons of restaurants and shops. You can also visit a couple of state parks in the area and the Appomattox Courthouse National Park where the Civil War ended!

I don’t think i’d want to leave the property considering there are trails and you’re right on the water. Imagine exploring all day then going back to clean up, cook a nice meal, and then sit by the fire with a drink. Sound like a perfect day to me! This house is perfect for a couple’s getaway, I mean it is super romantic!

Read what the past guests have to say:

  • We really enjoyed this cabin. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a private getaway to disconnect from everything and focus on each other. Thank you Matt & Erin for making this weekend so special for my husband and I!
  • I have traveled to air bnbs all over the world and I have to say this was by far the most perfect experience I have ever had. Perfect getaway location and every detail was perfectly curated. We will definitely come back 🙂 host communication was great and when i needed help starting the fire place the hosts response was almost instant 🙂
  • Amazing cabin in the woods
  • Every bit as amazing as the photos look. Great place to escape and enjoy the beauty and quiet of nature.

Some things to note, the airbnb is listed unsuitable for kids because of the stairs(there’s no door from the bedroom so it could potentially be a safety hazard) but kids are welcome, pets are allowed, and there are steep inclines around the property so just take some caution!
