This treehouse is absolutely gorgeous and would be perfect for a romantic getaway weekend! What sets this treehouse apart, in my opinion, are the way the builders used a lot of repurposed items throughout the house including antique doors and reclaimed windows. The treehouse is located on 40 acres of private forest and also includes a 2 acre lake, which you can take a boat out on.

I love all of the custom wood features, like the accent wall behind the bed and the barn door to the bathroom, and unique tree branch spindles along the railing of the deck. My favorite feature is the wall of repurposed wood windows that give it a nostalgic schoolhouse vibe while also flooding the room with natural light. The space also includes a queen bed, a clawfoot tub, an outdoor path lit by string lights that leads you to the two outdoor rain showers, a handmade swinging bed, a hammock swing, relaxing lounge chairs surrounding a firepit, and my other favorite feature, a bridge to an observation deck for grilling, dining, and relaxing in nature.
The treehouse is located about an hour from Birmingham or Huntsville, AL. The owners have added a guidebook that lists activities you can do within an hour from the property, including hiking, horseback riding, waterfalls, or Smith Lake, which is about 10 minutes away. The owners also offer mini photo shoot packages and I can see why! It’s such a beautiful place!

A few things to note: this is an adults only property and no pets are allowed. The outdoor showers are closed Dec – Feb due to freezing temperatures.
