This lake house would be perfect for a large family vacation! There is so much to do at this house, I don’t think I’d even want to leave! Situated right on Lake Lure (where the movie Dirty Dancing was filmed), there are beautiful views from the deck, a boat dock, and of course, my favorite feature, a 75-foot waterslide right into the lake. You HAVE to watch this video to get an idea of how fun this would be! If you ride down it on a boogie board, you don’t just splash into the lake. See how far this woman glides across the water!

The house has some availability in August and on into the fall. At over $2,000/night, this house is NOT cheap, but it IS luxury! So save up and tell your friends!
This 5 bedroom, 5.5 bath house sleeps 16 people and also includes a guest cottage, which is nice if there are members of your group that prefer more privacy. The main house has some super luxurious features, including 4 gas fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen, and a home gym including an elliptical and a Peloton, so you won’t even get off track of your fitness schedule! (Something that always happens to me on vacation! If I stayed here I would have no excuse!)
What really sets this house apart though is the outdoor amenities. In addition to that unique 75-foot waterslide, you also have a deck with a pergola, a private boat dock with 2 boat slips, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards provided, a private hot tub, a gas grill, a gas fire pit, outdoor dining, and a 14 ft waterfall that runs down the boulders next to the house into the lake.
Some nearby activities include boat rentals at Lake Lure Adventure Company, about 15 minutes from the house, and hiking at Chimney Rock, which is about 5 miles away.
