I love the floor-to-ceiling windows and that wrap-around porch! This house was built by Norwegian architect, Bernardo Rostad, and you can tell it was designed with the intention of taking in that view wherever possible. The house has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and sleeps up to 5 people.
It’s located at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on 25 private acres. You’re also right next door to the Cataloochee Ski Resort & Ranch so it’s a great spot if you’re looking for a ski vacation. Or if you visit in the summer months, take advantage of that pool and some great hiking nearby!

I couldn’t find any dates open until next April. Consider booking this one well in advance and read the caveats below to make sure it’s what you’re looking for.
This house comes with a few important caveats: first of all, it is on the top of a remote mountain that you can only access via a gravel road so 4WD is a must! It’s also recommended that you arrive during the day time so you can see the road well and print out the directions since internet/GPS may be spotty. The home has a Verizon hotspot but the internet is intermittent. The house does not have AC and it’s not recommended for children or the elderly.
Can you imagine cooking your dinner on that island while gazing out at the mountains?!
