1932 Stone Cottage Nestled into Afton Mountain | Afton, VA

This cottage was built in 1932 as a plant nursery. It’s under 500 sq ft and was built of stone from Afton Mountain! The home has high ceilings and is 2 stories that features a kitchen, living space, bedroom, and bathroom. Look at that bay window in the bedroom, i’d put a cushion in it and read. The property is just a few minutes from wineries, breweries, farms, and trails.

  • This place is a gem. We went in the summer and when we stepped out of the car the air was lavender perfumed from the beautiful flowerbeds out front. The inside of the house is cozy and beautifully appointed. The bed was really comfortable. The shower was massive and very nice. I sat outside in the morning, sipping coffee and watching butterflies and dragonflies dance around me. What more could I ask for?
  • By far the best AirBnB I’ve stayed at hands down. The cottage was as beautiful (if not more) as the photos promise, and it is extremely well stocked. It feels like Missy and Evan thought of everything when preparing the cottage for rental — everything was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend this place enough, it is the perfect romantic getaway.

Things to note before booking your stay, the staircase is not suitable for those with mobility issues, there is no WiFi, the home is not infant friendly, and pets are not allowed!
