A 1920s Stone Gas Station Turned Airbnb Right off of Route 66 | Springfield, MO

Something cool about this place other than it being built out of stone in the 1920s, is that it’s two blocks off of Route 66. Yes, THE Route 66…Springfield is the birthplace of the “Mother Road”. With that being said the home is within walking distance of shops, clubs, restaurants, and so much more! I’m sure there are some neat Route 66-themed diners or bars nearby.

This tiny home features a bedroom space, a bathroom, a living area, and a kitchen. And take a look at those hardwood floors! The host says the ceilings are pressed tin, I wish there was a picture of them!

There are a ton of open dates starting in August! With this price per night and location, i’d say take advantage!

Read a few of the reviews from past guests:

  • Amazingly unique place, but definitely rustic in terms of amenities. Perfect size for 2 people, and we appreciated that we could bring our pets with us. It’s also in a very hip neighborhood but on a quiet street, so the best of both worlds.
  • Unique, cozy, remodeled gas station. It had everything we needed for our stay. Make sure to enjoy an evening sitting under the carport with the colorful lights on. The 1920 Gas Station was clean, easy to find and check-in was easy with the locked box. Don’t miss the opportunity to stay at Nick’s 1920 Rock Gas Station.

Some things to note before booking, there is no WiFi, pets are allowed, this space can comfortably hosts 1-2 people, and there is covered parking for two cars!
