Stay in a Renovated 100-year-old Cottage in New Market, AL

This was named the cutest tiny home in Alabama! It was beautifully renovated and has herringbone bricked floors and romantic touches. This was the first post office in North Alabama. Then it was used as a jail. Then a doctor’s office! The owners bought it when it was being used as an antique shop. I didn’t expect this little cottage to be used as so many things in the past…especially a jail. The cottage features a 1 bedroom space with a breakfast nook, kitchenette, bathroom with a tub, TV, and heat/AC. This is the perfect size for solo travelers or a couple! This cottage is nestled in a gardened property about 15 miles from Huntsville. Although there is a nice restaurant across the way so you wouldn’t have to go into town.

Read some reviews from past guests:

  • This is a great place to get away and relax. It is away from pretty much everything but only a 30 min drive to the middle of Huntsville. We had dinner in the city and then drove back to the cottage and relaxed. The place is just like it is in the pictures and smells wonderful when you walk in. Very clean and inviting. You can tell they put a lot of time into their places. The jets in the tub were even spotless! We would definitely visit again!
  • This cottage is perfect. Natural light, comfy bed, high ceilings, beautiful courtyard. And a super charming breakfast spot across the street.
