On a Budget

This Farmhouse-Style Cabin is cozy, comfortable and just 12 minutes from the Magnolia Silos | Waco, TX

This cabin was custom-built with 100 year old barnwood and it has some unique features, like hammered copper sinks and handmade rocking chairs. But my favorite feature of all is the location. Being just 12 minutes from the Magnolia Silos, this cabin would be the perfect place to stay if you plan to visit Magnolia and the “Chip and Joanna” empire.

The cabin has a small kitchen, a dining area, a sitting area, a bathroom, and a loft with a Tuft and Needle Queen Bed. Although it’s small, it seems to have everything you would need for a comfy stay!

There are plenty of open dates available this fall and winter. I’m sure it would be nice to visit this time of year!

Here are some reviews from past guests:

“This has been one of our favorite stays so far! Such a great location, and beautiful space. We really enjoyed the seamless check-in and check-out, and everything about the property and tiny home was just perfect!”

“The Little Red Hen was a great, quiet, and idyllic cabin to refocus and reenergize. The decor was lovely, and the amenities such as coffee, a functional kitchen, and little things like shampoo and lotion made it feel like home.”

“The Little Red Hen was a great choice for a little getaway! Nestled in the hill country, on a quiet little gathering of other tiny houses, this one was the best. The furnishings and touches were very thoughtful! Bed comfy, hot shower after a long day much needed, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would recommend to anyone wanting a unique place to be!”

A few things to note: the stairs up to the loft are steep ship’s ladder style stairs and one past guest stated that he is 6’4 and had to duck to fit in the shower. Lastly, the kitchen just has a microwave so don’t expect to do a lot of cooking here. If you love tiny homes, check out this Tiny A-Frame we featured in the past:
