Got Milk?! Adorable Milk Parlor turned Airbnb only $106/night! | Mount Crawford, Virginia

If you love historic homes, shiplap, and farmhouse-style decor, check out this adorable former milk parlor turned Airbnb! Cows were actually milked in this building and the milk was stored here before it was delivered to neighbors and local stores. Luckily, it’s not currently being used as a milking station, I don’t know if I could sleep in the same room as a cow, but it’s been renovated as a 1 bedroom cottage! This house is still part of a farm so you can see some of the 12 cows on the farm while you also enjoy the beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park! If I stayed here, I think I couldn’t help having a glass of milk and a cookie every night before bed!

There are a few weeks open in March, but then it is completely booked until mid-summer. Follow the link to book your stay!

The Milk Parlor is a 1 bedroom cottage with a King bed but also has a living area with a sleeper sofa, bathroom, and mini-fridge/ bar area. It seems like it would be perfect for a romantic getaway for two or for a couple with one child. The owners have repurposed some antique furniture, like the antique vanity-turned-sink in the bathroom and they like to place fresh local flowers throughout the house, which just adds that extra touch to make it beautiful and fresh. There is something so relaxing and homey about their farmhouse-style furniture and decor. I just love it!

The cottage is located about 20 minutes from Harrisonburg, VA which is a cute little town with lots of great shopping and restaurants. It’s a short drive to Shenandoah National Park and very close to some great wineries as well. I would love coming back to this cottage after a day of hiking in Shenandoah, and sit out on those antique patio chairs with a glass of wine while watching the cows graze in the pastures. And it would feel even better knowing it’s only a little over $100/night to stay here!

It’s rare that I find a perfect 5-star rating on Airbnb and this one nearly has it at 4.99. Read why guests are raving about this Airbnb:

Brew yourself a coffee and snuggle into that comfy bed and take some respite for yourself. A great home base for any wedding you would attend in the area or just to escape for a moment or two, this place provides the right amount of comfort and subtle luxury that one wants when on retreat. Highly recommend!”

“Our stay at the Milk Parlor was wonderful! It is within 15 minutes of Harrisonburg and there are plenty of wineries and restaurants within a short driving distance. The Mountain View’s were beautiful and the milk parlor was clean, well decorated, and well stocked.”

“We travel quite a bit using Airbnb… and this was by far one of my favorites. It could not be decorated any cuter, it’s totally a chip and Joanna Gaines vibe. There are tons of wineries nearby and it’s close to Shenandoah for hikes and gorgeous drives. Their dog Teddy is the sweetest!! Kyle and Melissa thought of everything, down to dry shampoo and a coffee bar! If you aren’t booking with them, you are missing out!”
